Birthday Time

Big Chief Papa Bear had an Indian themed birthday this year thanks to Tessa's current fascination with Pocahontas.  We celebrated in style with headdresses and everything.

Gampa's gifts were Pocahontas toys, dress up clothes and jewelry, all for Tessa naturally.  My little Indian Princess is just precious.
And then there was pie.  While Tessa was at school, I had the luxury of making Gampa's favorite chocolate pie in a calm kitchen.  It's not a difficult recipe but it does require constant stirring which is so much easier when you have two hands.  And the first thing Tessa did when she got home from school was open the fridge and stick her finger in my beautiful pie.  She tasted it and deemed it delish, glad I pass muster with mini Giada.   In this picture Gampa's debating whether or not he will share his pie with the rest of us, but of course he did.  Happy Birthday!
