About once a month, Ryan and I have a date night. The past few months, we have been taking dance lessons. You won't be seeing us on dancing with the stars but we have a blast together. While we have our date, Tessa goes to a "party" at the gym. Each month they do a different theme and this time it was Pocahontas. They even had a tee-pee set up in the playroom. Look how cute she was when we picked her up. I think she told me her Indian name was "Flying Owl." She refused to wash off her stripes before bed, and so she looked like this all night.

Trick or Treat
I think this was the best Halloween yet. We all dressed like pirates and had so much fun trick-or-treating together. I was totally sleep deprived, thanks to a terrible call night, and maybe a little punchy but I wouldn't have missed this for the world. AARRGG Matey! Let's go grab some loot!
Tessa can totally pull off the adventurous Angelica pirate costume.
And don't think that Anabelle escaped the dress up fun, Pirate Puppy sported a hat and eye patch.
Tessa had so much stamina this year! We walked over half of the neighborhood and she carried her own candy because she quickly caught on that Daddy was pilfering from her stash. Periodically, we stopped back by our house to reload our candy bowl since none of us wanted to stay home to hand out candy. Our neighborhood is crazy busy on Halloween. People set up firepits and picnic tables of goodies and everyone dresses up. We bumped into another pirate family. They were dressed as Jake and The Neverland Pirates and Dad was Captain Hook. Tessa would not go anywhere near him. (Mental note, scratch the pirate cruise with Hook & Peter Pan from our Disney itinerary.) When we finished trick-or-treating, Tessa and Ryan sat outside handing out candy. I had to laugh listening to her holler "Who wants some candy!?!?" every time someone walked near our house. Great memories.

School Party
Tessa's class had a party at school the day of Halloween. The kids were just precious dressed in their costumes, each one a different character. They trick-or-treated around the church office and they had more snacks in the classroom.
Ms. Hayne's costume was super cute and very original, a cup of Starbucks.Fall Festival
Despite the rain and cold, the Fall Festival at church was lots of fun. We brought the whole family with us and even Nanny had a good time people watching. Tessa dressed as Elizabeth Swann from Pirates of the Caribbean. She was absolutely beautiful! However, this dress is not conducive to jump houses and slides so we changed into our Angelica pirate costume.
Pumpkin Carving
Tessa decorated her pumpkin patch mini pumpkin to look like a spider. She was so cute singing "Little Miss Muffett" with her spider pumpkin.
Daddy was in charge of carving our pirate pumpkin. We found a template for the Jolly Roger and he did a fantastic job carving. We are all dressing as pirates this year so this pumpkin was perfect for us.
Firetruck
We joined our friends at the library for a special fire safety day. Local firemen talked to the kids about what to do in case of a fire. Then they dressed up one of the moms in complete fire gear which was pretty funny. Afterwards it was a free for all while the kids explored the truck.
Pumpkin Patch
Tessa's class had went on a field trip. The kids learn all about pumpkins and apples, there are animals to pet and even a maze to wander through. We went on a hayride through the apple orchard and the kids all looked for Johnny Appleseed. Everybody got a pumpkin and bag of apples to take home. This is a fun field trip but I think the kids favorite part is riding the school bus to the pumpkin patch.
