We started her birthday week off with a trip to the Riverbanks Zoo in Columbia. It was fabulous!
Tessa liked the animals but was more interested in the carousel. She wanted to ride again, and again, and again. We were all happy to take a turn with the parade princess.
Watch her blow a kiss to my parents. Such a sweetheart!
The birthday continues at our favorite Mexican restaurant where Tessa insists Gamma wear the birthday sombrero. Pretty cute. We love you Gamma!

Since you have a bit of Texas in you, what is your favorite Mexican place? We are still looking for something a bit closer than Don Pablo's and On The Border which are pretty Tex Mex!
You'll laugh - it was Don Pablos:-)You might try the carnitas, they're pretty authentic. And we like the sopapillas, not as yeasty and fluffy as ones in Texas but still very yummy. Oh how we took good Mexican food for granted in Texas.
Glad you got the pictures up!! Looks like so much fun - I can't wait to take S:) The blowing kisses to her grandparents was probably one of the cutest things I've ever seen!
